Funeral wishes
When my mum passed very suddenly I realised there was so much about her early life that I was unaware of and it struck me that there was no one who offered a bespoke 'funeral wishes service'. In an age where pre-planned funerals and direct cremation services are coming more to the fore, there appears to be no service to record the life, loves and feelings of anybody before they have died as well as their wishes for their own funeral. I realised that this service would be a huge comfort for some people, it would have helped me at a time when I was so terribly grief stricken.
I am able to offer a 'funeral wishes' service. We can sit down for a while, discuss and record your own funeral wishes, taking time to reminisce on your own life story. So that when the time comes for your own funeral, your specific requests are noted.
This service goes so much further than choosing songs and deciding on burial or cremation (with or without interment) and is a great way to for you to leave messages for your loved ones (if that is what you wish), to have a clear view of what you would like at your own funeral and wake and to alleviate some of the stress for your loved ones at such a difficult time. If you wish, the chat, can be video or audio recorded and is also a great keepsake and comfort for your loved and a great way for them to learn a little more about your life.
Vow renewals
Vow renewals are such a beautiful way to recommit to love the person you married. Whether you have been married for years or just a short time or maybe life took over for a while and you both need to refocus on what is important, Vow Renewals are a beautiful re-connection of what is important to both of you, to show how you feel and to perhaps spend some time with those closest to you. Perhaps you don't believe in the formality of marriage or are not yet ready to fully commit to a relationship within a legal framework. Commitment Ceremonies can be just as beautiful and heartfelt as any wedding and just as open to expressing your hopes and dreams for the two of you as a couple.
Naming Ceremonies
I am able to offer bespoke services for naming ceremonies (similar to a 'Christening' but non religious and for any age'). It is also ideal for individuals who wish to be known by another name. In our non gender specific world, more and more individuals are choosing their pro-nouns, how they choose to viewed to the world and what they wish to be called. While a naming ceremony does not legally change your name, it is a way of finding a new way of being.
Animal funeral services
As a huge animal lover, i appreciate how difficult it can be when we lose our 'world in a fur (or scaly etc) coat'. I am able to write a bespoke service, that may help you to express your love and loss at a difficult time, enabling you to give an appropriate send off to a much beloved companion.
