Wedding Celebrancy

Firstly my sincerest congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

Whatever way you both choose to express your love and commitment I hope it is as special and unique as your love for each other.

I am often asked; "why should we have a celebrant perform our marriage ceremony?"

Its really simple. Here are just a few reasons;

If a church wedding isn't for you or the church would refuse to marry you,
You fancy something a little different for your ceremony location, for example, a wedding held outdoors or on a boat, it may be harder to find a 'registry office approved' location.
You do not want to say traditional vows.
You want a bespoke ceremony that represents the two of you rather than a fixed script.
You want to include participation into your wedding and / or some fun!
You want a mixture of details included during your ceremony, for example, a little religious hymn combined with your love story being told or first kiss, last kiss (ask me and I'll explain)

Then a celebrant is definitely for you!

I think it is important to draw your attention to the law in relation to marriage and that, while celebrants have been performing bespoke ceremonies for many years, it still isn't legally binding in England. You will still have to register your intent to marry and have a (small if required) ceremony usually at a registry office.

Choosing the right celebrant for your special day is so important to enable both of you to feel confident that the person you have chosen understands your wants and needs and you can relax knowing that, that part of your special day represents everything that you want.

I will work with you, listen to what you want for your wedding and do all I can to make it extra special (I may also well up as you share a kiss!! Who doesn't love love?). I will try and make suggestions or give you other options or things you've perhaps never thought about.
